Research

The idea for this project came to me while I was doing an exercise for another class where we had to sketch an outline of our childhood neighbourhoods. This exercise got me feeling nostalgic and a bit sad. These feelings inspired the idea and so I then created a mood board for what I wanted the painting's energy to be. I've always gravitated towards this topic with some of my favourite books growing up being The Catcher in the Rye and Peter Pan.
